Longer pile height increases fiber bending and stress, reducing resistance to long-term wear.

Safety

Platinum may support accessible use, but no formal ADA compliance documentation is available. High drainage helps maintain a dry and stable surface, supporting accessibility under wet conditions. Long pile height reduces stability and may affect mobility.

Platinum by TigerTurf is prone to heat buildup and may reach higher surface temperatures. Lighter yarn colors reflect more sunlight, reducing heat buildup, while polyethylene fibers reduce heat retention compared to other materials. No infrared-reflective technology is specified, which may increase heat retention.

Comfort / Experience

Platinum offers a comfortable and slightly soft surface feel. Long pile height (1.875") enhances softness but may reduce surface control and consistency under load. However, more rigid blade shapes increase structural support and fiber resilience, slightly reducing overall surface feel. Very thick yarn fibers (19500 denier) prioritize durability over flexibility, creating a firmer and less cushioned surface.

Platinum by TigerTurf offers a natural-looking surface with moderate visual variation. Multiple yarn color tones create natural variation, enhancing visual realism, while multiple thatch tones enhance depth and closely mimic the layered look of natural grass. Uniform blade shape may limit texture variation, making the surface appear more artificial.

Platinum provides excellent backing stability, maintaining structural integrity and consistent performance after installation. High-performance secondary backing materials enhance structural integrity and improve fiber lock, while high tuft bind strength securely anchors fibers, reducing pull-out and improving stability, woven or advanced backing construction enhances dimensional stability and structural consistency.

Platinum by TigerTurf provides good seam alignment with low visibility under proper installation. Tight stitch gauge allows precise alignment and improves seam invisibility, while stable backing minimizes movement and improves seam consistency, high density supports good seam concealment. Longer fibers make seam alignment more difficult.

Platinum provides moderate cutting ease with some resistance during installation. Long pile height may increases drag and reduces cutting precision.
