Longer pile height increases fiber bending and stress, reducing resistance to long-term wear.

Moderate drainage allows partial flow but may retain moisture under load.

Malibu Fescue Pro may support accessible use, but no formal ADA compliance documentation is available. Long pile height reduces stability and may affect mobility.

Malibu Fescue Pro by Everlast is prone to heat buildup and may reach higher surface temperatures. Polyethylene fibers reduce heat retention compared to other materials. No infrared-reflective technology is specified, which may increase heat retention.

Malibu Fescue Pro provides a soft and cushioned surface feel. Long pile height (1.875") enhances softness but may reduce surface control and consistency under load.

Malibu Fescue Pro by Everlast provides a reasonably natural appearance, though some uniformity may be visible. Multiple thatch tones enhance depth and closely mimic the layered look of natural grass. Uniform blade shape may limit texture variation, making the surface appear more artificial.

High pile height traps debris and reduces accessibility, increasing maintenance effort, while very high turf density significantly limits accessibility, making maintenance more difficult. This is partially offset by polyethylene fibers reduce debris adhesion and support easier cleaning.

Warranty

SGW offers tiered warranties - 15-year for landscape turf and 3–8 years for putting greens-covering material defects, UV degradation, and abnormal fiber breakdown under normal use, but like most turf warranties, it is limited to material protection only, excluding installation issues, misuse, environmental damage, matting from traffic, and heat damage from window reflection, with claims typically restricted to repair, replacement, or material credit rather than full project coverage. Malibu Fescue Pro provides excellent backing stability, maintaining structural integrity and consistent performance after installation. High-quality primary backing materials provide strong dimensional stability and resistance to deformation, while high-performance secondary backing materials enhance structural integrity and improve fiber lock, high tuft bind strength securely anchors fibers, reducing pull-out and improving stability.

Malibu Fescue Pro by Everlast provides good seam alignment with low visibility under proper installation. Tight stitch gauge allows precise alignment and improves seam invisibility, while stable backing minimizes movement and improves seam consistency. Longer fibers make seam alignment more difficult.

Malibu Fescue Pro provides moderate cutting ease with some resistance during installation. Flexible backing materials improve cutting precision and reduce resistance. Long pile height may increases drag and reduces cutting precision.
