Catalina Pro provides basic durability with some limitations under heavier use. Polyethylene fibers offer good durability with moderate resistance to wear and deformation, while high turf density enhances durability and stability under repeated use, thick yarn fibers enhance durability and maintain structural integrity under repeated use. Longer pile height increases fiber bending and stress, reducing resistance to long-term wear.

Moderate drainage allows partial flow but may retain moisture under load.

Safety

Catalina Pro may support accessible use, but no formal ADA compliance documentation is available. Long pile height reduces stability and may affect mobility.

Catalina Pro by Everlast is prone to heat buildup and may reach higher surface temperatures. Polyethylene fibers reduce heat retention compared to other materials. No infrared-reflective technology is specified, which may increase heat retention.

Comfort / Experience

Catalina Pro provides a soft and cushioned surface feel. Long pile height (2") enhances softness but may reduce surface control and consistency under load. However, higher yarn denier (13300) increases fiber stiffness, limiting surface feel and cushioning.

Catalina Pro by Everlast provides a reasonably natural appearance, though some uniformity may be visible. Multiple thatch tones enhance depth and closely mimic the layered look of natural grass, while a combination of blade shapes creates natural texture variation, enhancing realism.

Maitenance Scores

Catalina Pro requires frequent maintenance due to higher debris retention and cleaning effort. High pile height traps debris and reduces accessibility, while dense turf structure further increases maintenance effort. This is partially offset by polyethylene fibers reduce debris adhesion and support easier cleaning.

Catalina Pro by Everlast tends to retain debris and may require periodic cleaning. Long pile height trap debris, while high turf density further increases buildup and increases buildup.

SGW offers tiered warranties - 15-year for landscape turf and 3–8 years for putting greens-covering material defects, UV degradation, and abnormal fiber breakdown under normal use, but like most turf warranties, it is limited to material protection only, excluding installation issues, misuse, environmental damage, matting from traffic, and heat damage from window reflection, with claims typically restricted to repair, replacement, or material credit rather than full project coverage. Catalina Pro provides excellent backing stability, maintaining structural integrity and consistent performance after installation. High-quality primary backing materials provide strong dimensional stability and resistance to deformation, while high-performance secondary backing materials enhance structural integrity and improve fiber lock, high tuft bind strength securely anchors fibers, reducing pull-out and improving stability.

Catalina Pro by Everlast provides good seam alignment with low visibility under proper installation. Tight stitch gauge allows precise alignment and improves seam invisibility, while stable backing minimizes movement and improves seam consistency, high density supports good seam concealment. Longer fibers make seam alignment more difficult.

Catalina Pro provides moderate cutting ease with some resistance during installation. Flexible backing materials improve cutting precision and reduce resistance. Long pile height may increases drag and reduces cutting precision.
